Meet the Team

Jim has been teaching music for all of his adult life. Having mastered the bass guitar before moving onto the guitar, he has played both instruments professionally at many of the UK’s most prestigious venues.

Jim started Tempo in 2018 in order to grow his unique ethos and approach to teaching music, and although he is busy running the company, he still finds time to play in various function bands in the local area, as well as keeping up his teaching practice inspiring the next generation of musicians.

Jim holds an Open University Open BSc Degree with a variety of disciplines including Performance Psychology, Music Technology and Theory, and Music Composition.
